Here's my new coop thus far.

Looks great. But I second the rain gutter. I also have a single pitched roof on my coop. And you would be amazed how much water it sheds even in a moderate rain. I guess cause it is all going in one direction. With that brick wall behind, and I'm assuming you are in Washington state...that area behind coop, and at wall will get VERY damp and not drain off.

A gutter and downspout heading towards that gate should ease the water problem.

But overall looks like a great start. Keep posting pic.

I plan on running a gutter on the back edge. Exactly like you describe!!! Behind that gate is a back alley and there is a storm drain there so drainage works out perfect. Just got back from Home Depot and should have the sheeting down on the roof before I'm of to class for PM school.

Sheating and tar paper on. Going to three tab the roof and flashing tomorrow. maybe.

Note: Made most of the framing out of 2x3 stock not 2x4. Just saved like $0.45 per board. Figured I didn't need to build it like a person house.
