Heritage barred rock???

I posted a better picture of his comb. Any idea what he might be? I'm sad cause I wanted to breed him for barred rock bitties.

He is a mix with a barred parent is all we can really tell you. He carries one barring gene, unlike a BR rooster, who carries two. He actually appears to have a combo pea-single comb *cross of a pea combed bird with a single combed bird, so it comes out tall that way*, so he could be part Easter Egger, part barred-something. Have had those, too.

This similarly-colored rooster I used to have (RIP, Deacon) was 1/2 heritage line Delaware and 1/2 mixed breed hen. He had to get the barring from his sire. Hen was solid colored. No BR in this one.

Agree with @speckledhen. Barred Rock mixed with a pea comb breed.

I am guessing barred rock EE mix based on the comb and red leakage. What did the rest of the hatch look like?

I don't see Dominique at all bc like previously stated he seems to have a pea single comb mix not a rose comb.

Probably a Barred Rock/Easter Egger cross. I've bred quite a few that look like that. Most definitely not a Heritage Barred Rock.

Though you can't breed BRs with him, some of my most beloved birds have been "happy accidents". If he's sweet-natured, that is a huge plus in my book.

Maybe he looks like the plumber Mixed as others have said.
