Sorry, I won't be shipping any eggs until fall at the earliest, or next spring.

I would love to see some pictures of the parent stock! Delawares are one of the great old American breeds that are in real danger. I can't remember the last time I saw a good one at a show. Once in awhile a poor hatchery bird but that's it.
I wish everyone involved i poultry would get interested in a Heritage Breed. We need to hold onto the genetic diversity as well as the history.

NYREDS, while some of my birds are from an exhibition line, and definitely have some potential, I don't consider them to be SQ yet. They're still a work in progress, and as of now I still consider myself to be working with other people's breeding. As I get closer to the standard, I'll post pictures, but right now, I think half of my birds' visual appeal is their extreme good health.

OK but that one in your thumbnail looks pretty good-is she one of yours?

Yes, that's these chicks' paternal grandmother. She was broody when I took that picture.

Best work in progress I've seen of this breed, though. They are truly gorgeous, even if the sire is quite young. This was basically a fertility test for Janet that I did. Just happened to get some beauties out of it for myself. Thanks, Janet. They are SO curious and bright, these babies.
