Fantastic idea!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I always wondered what to do with all those annoying signs up & down every road.........very clever!

Our neighbor does not like them. He is of the opposite party. Plus don't like kids or poultry.

So do you use this size for Turkeys?
I really am trying to find a good design for the turkeys, these be the MW so do not need as big a coop as the larger varieties.
These birds do not like to roost in trees, but they do require more space & roost distance than the chickens do.
Nose to tail distance, roost spacing from the wall must be longer.
So far, my turkeys are IN a chicken coop fitted with a 4" diameter alder log for their roost, spaced further away from the wall, but still is not right for them.
How do you guys set up nest places for the hens?
Spacing/shelter?
I am ready to pick turkey brains here...

I would also love to see inside the coop house, have you a roost w/ poop tray under it?
nest boxes?
What a great & easy design!!
If I were closer, I'd come steal some too!

Nice, how much was the materail.?

I use to have Bourbon Reds, but had to cull them from MG, and would like to have turkeys again. I want to have Bourbon Reds again, so will order some from Porter's Turkey farm. But, I am thinking of adding another breed, just a pair or a trio, and I am having a hard time picking which breed to add on to my farm- I was suggested Narragansetts or Sweetgrass, or I can just stay with Bourbon Reds. Thanks for any suggestions.

We have this coop style listed at https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=598959 with more photos. This is for chickens and bantams. We are working on a turkey coop that would be the same 5' wide, 10' long and 8'tall, so the turkeys can fly up to roosts. the nest woild be in an area in the end. the entire top would be covered. Still in the design stage. Need to get these done first. Have one almost ready.

Materials was partly donated to our 4H club by a local mill that supplies Lowes. We are trying to use leftover and slightly used materials on ours to lower the cost. On the new coops we sale, we use all new material. The materials usually run about half the cost of the coop. We are currently using split 2x5x10 lumber donated to us.
