Heritage Large Fowl - Phase II

Going in for cataract surgery Monday.  You folks will have to do without my caustic humor and pearls of hard earned wisdom.

In fact, after the surgery, things are bustin' loose around here with the favorable weather and multiple projects, I won't have time to sit on my butt and torment the good folks on this and other threads.

Not saying I won't be back one day but it will be long enough that some of you might actually be glad to see the Rabbit Avatar.

I'll be certain that those who want my personal EMail will have it...:hit      :lau

That demented rabbit has grown on me.  Hope the surgery and projects go smoothly.

Like Dragonlady said, we'll just use big fonts.  You can't get away from us that easily. :lau

Hope you have a speedy recovery Ron.

Is that a selfie?
Oh no...I don't own or need that set up but it is pretty slick!

Dont know about you Ron but that wouldn't work for me unless my glasses dropped down too !
And thats after double cataract surgery LOL
If you know a little bit about shotguns....you know at close range, you don't need to see anything but an image that doesn't belong in your most private room....And even if you were unlucky enough to actually miss, (unlikely at such close range) the invader would see a 6 foot streak of red and blue flames along with an unbelievable concussion....even the craziest intruder would try to flee before you had the one second required for the gas to kick another shell into the chamber.

If your barrel is short enough, you don't need glasses........just sayin'...........

Hmm - it would be wise to ID your target first and even with a open choke you only have a very small pattern at 8 feet.

Lol. Fun and games here but... Yes you ALWAYS id target first (and know what's behind it). But from a math point of view an 8' width is pretty darn wide when the average bedroom is only 10 or 12'.
Again... fun and games joking. We teach arms handling (and required is safety handling) so I don't really take any of this lightly. That said, while shot guns are billed as the ultimate home defense, I prefer smaller, easily concealed, and more accurate. I only use shotguns for opposum and raccoons. LOL. Although the flavored shot makes them handy for killing poultry and wild turkey sometimes. ;-)
