I've got to admit that I'm thrilled to pieces.

I especially wanted the silver gene in the Blosl. The XW doesn't have it.

This will give me one Blosl pullet and 2 XW pullet's. This will get me a nice start on my program. Pumped.

Does anyone know where I can buy silver grey dorking or some ancona or another heritage breed, I want a breed that needs help, I would like them to be good quality not hatchery. Thank you

I would like to essentially reiterate this post! Except, I'm pretty sure I've honed in on the Dorking as the breed I'd like to focus on. I don't have a color preference, though I'm leaning toward rose combs - I'm certainly open to suggestions and arguments for or against. I don't want to start with hatchery stock as I'm sure there must be breeders who have already progressed beyond that quality! Short of ebay, I'm at a loss as to where to obtain eggs - I would like to hatch them out myself if possible.

Thanks for "listening" and considering!

Joseph at Yellow House Farm rose comb White Dorkings.
- Silver Star*Rose Ranch, Guinda, CA - Silver Grey Dorkings ,
I don't remember which kind of comb they have.
Both are on BYC.
Best,
Karen

What do you all think about using this for conditioning pens? Prior to a show, to protect the feathers and keep the bird clean.
It's 5 ft wide. Top 2 cages are 30 x 30 x 30. The bottom part is one cage. The blue grates are removable floors.
