Does anyone know where I can buy silver grey dorking or some ancona or another heritage breed, I want a breed that needs help, I would like them to be good quality not hatchery. Thank you
Joseph at Yellow House Farm rose comb White Dorkings.I would like to essentially reiterate this post! Except, I'm pretty sure I've honed in on the Dorking as the breed I'd like to focus on. I don't have a color preference, though I'm leaning toward rose combs - I'm certainly open to suggestions and arguments for or against. I don't want to start with hatchery stock as I'm sure there must be breeders who have already progressed beyond that quality! Short of ebay, I'm at a loss as to where to obtain eggs - I would like to hatch them out myself if possible.
Thanks for "listening" and considering!
Silver Grays and Reds have single combs. I believe Reds are available in rose comb, but are not accepted as a standard variety.Joseph at Yellow House Farm rose comb White Dorkings.
- Silver Star*Rose Ranch, Guinda, CA - Silver Grey Dorkings ,
I don't remember which kind of comb they have.
Both are on BYC.
Best,
