I would not want to deter anyone from showing in PA. Health requirements have not changed for showing poultry in the state.Don't remember the name of the vaccine.Call your Local 4-H or State Ag tech and ask.
Sorry,
Karen

Last November, I drove over 12 hours, one way, to the Ohio National! And I didn't take any birds (but I brought some home.)When I first got home, I thought, "That was fun, but I will not likely do it again." Here we are, less than 6 months later, and I am thinking of making that trip again. There is no substitute for seeing live birds that look like they are supposed to look. I was a bit star struck, and overwhelmed. I believe I could get more from my second trip.![]()
It wasn't me, but my oldest son is an Assistant Navigator on a nuclear sub in the Navy. It's a great life! And huge congrats to your son! His ASVAB must be really high. Nuclear is the top school in the Navy sub service. Is he going to the subs? My son has been all over the world on them. England, Scotland, Hawaii, France, Spain, Middle East. I don't know about other parts of the Navy but in the Sub Service, the things they teach the Nukes are the same talents needed to run the big breweries... who , last I checked...hired the Nukes away at $100,000 a year. Lots of upward mobility in the Navy and again, congrats to your son!I'm sorry this is off topic but I've tried to find the poster who mentioned the nuclear field of the Navy to me a couple months back? She said her husband was in it and that it was great! I would like to talk to this person a little in private messages as my son has a chance at getting into that field in the Navy. Please send me a PM so I can talk a little bit about it.

I have only been the once and stayed for several hours. Missed Joesephs talk, but got the little tour which was wonderful as the fellow talked about showing and birds in general and highlighted the nankins; met Walt who was gracious enough to spend some of his precious time helping me "see" birds and meet his side kick partner; and son discovered silver phenix's and has ben buggin gme ever since; othe r son fell for the silkies!!
There is another show , the boston show in November in North Oxford, MA with a big turnout though not quite like the NOrtheast congress. A primer for the Jan show.
Bet Joseph could tell us the big shows in the northeast.
