Hero Rooster

I limited free range my 1 RIR rooster and 8 hens. Out at dawn, in the coop at dusk. Today I came home from work and found 3 large piles of feathers and my Roo's body. I lost one hen and another is missing quite a few feathers. It was clearly a case of my roo giving his life for the hens (the reason I got him). I gave him a proper burial but he will be missed. RIP Max. You died a hero.
