A skunk killed 4 of my chickens/chicks before we finally killed it. The very next night, after we lost a guinea, we realized there were 2 skunks. This one got lucky when he walked into the trap. Going on a very long truck ride. Picture not very good because I know how far they can spray.

In many areas it is illegal to relocate wildlife. It might be best to just shoot the skunk while it is in the trap. That's what we do here.

I agree. I would eliminate the skunk. Here it is also illegal to relocate unless you have the property owner's permission to where you plan on relocating it to. We are rural on a dead end road and have been the recipients of others relocations. Good luck...

In Michigan, it's legal to relocate such critters on your own land, or private land within the same county, with landowner permission.
Shoot it! Releasing a trap wise animal who loves chicken is a bad choice, not to mention an animal at higher risk of carrying rabies.
