Our chicks hatched in April. He said he'd have the coop done by the end of May. In mid-June, we went to Lowe's and bought 2x4's and concrete foundation blocks... They've been neatly covered with a tarp since then. I've bribed, threatened, pleaded, begged... and he's FINALLY "broken ground" and started digging holes for the foundation blocks!

I think it might have been my threat to bring home some nice young guy from work to build it for me...

Here's hoping the ball will keep rolling and we'll have a coop by the time it gets cold!

I have found that the "Oh, that's OK, don't bother finishing the ....(fill in blank, building the coop, whatever), I will either do it myself or hire someone else to do it." usually gives me the fastest results. [IMG]

Thankfully my husband's friend is helping me build. My husband is great with cars but everything else, not so much. Me and my daughter will do everything except the heaviest lifting.

    Good luck with your coop![IMG]
