I checked on my goose nest today and saw a big hole in one of the eggs. it was VERY obvious that momma had stepped on and cracked the egg, theres "spider" cracks all around the big hole.
i peeled back the loose flap and the baby is still alive & breathing!!!
what do i do?? can i save it?? i brought it in and covered it with a damp cloth and put it in the incubator. This is all i could think of to keep it from drying out, it's moving around quite a bit and seems okay, no bleeding or anything. it looks to be almost "hatching size" but i cant tell if theres a lot of yolk left or not.
should i leave it in the bator or try to open it up? im worried i will cause bleeding if i open it up. sad

He just stopped breathing a minute ago, I think it might have been a "stolen" duck egg, he was solid light silver blue...stupid goose.
