first time nesters can be a bit clumsy.
best you can do is what you have done to save the hatch, pull all but 2 eggs and incubate them till hatch.
good luck with the hatch and be sure to post pictures.

i definitely will. She hatched 2 already, one was born solid yellow and pink, even for this breed (roman tufted) it seemed weird to me, like he was albino. Uno only lived 2 days. the other one (Gibbs) is fat & healthy, and looking for a new home still.

both had to be taken away after gibbs was hatched, they were getting stepped on left n right, plus she still had a nest full of eggs to hatch...

I managed to keep her alive for several hours. I think I over heated her and she finally gave up.

My chickens have done this before... and I don't doubt they'll do it again.
