So I should have posted this when it started but I didn't think much of it and it's probably nothing.

Colonel has been ignoring Duchess' "affections" while they're free ranging or when they're locked up in the yard. Duchess has been doing weird things, which I assume are normal, towards him.
She'll lay down in front of him but he walks right past her and ditches her to go to a water bowl, she'll rub herself against him but he'll still ignore her once again to walk away, and she will or at least attempt to get underneath him. Yesterday she tried rubbing her bill around his private area for a few minutes.

Today, she's still trying to show affection but he is just not having it.

First of all yes I will be making sure that if Colonel decides to mate with her, he'll be supervised and I'll be ready to separate them if he does it more than twice. Yes, I probably should just ignore it but I worry about the silliest of things.

Any feedback about this is welcome and appreciated!

My Runner became sexually active before the drake and she was throwing herself at everything in feathers including my female goose. Has Colonel molted into his breeding colors yet? Is it called nuptial? He may not be quite ready for mating yet and if Duchess is like my Runner females they mate year round.
