I had some scraps and thought it might be a treat for them, but then I remembered the seeds have cyanide in them! :o

Not can they eat em - how FAST can they eat em?

Mine ate apples all the time through the end of summer when my tree was full. I've some saved up, he got a couple today.

They can have the apples if they like them but the seeds arent good for them as they can get posionous to their system. Mine dont care for them at all.

Goats love apple, but if fed a whole bucket of them in one sitting, you risk them fermenting in the digestive system and causing bloat, just like overfeeding grain will do.

In order to harm a goat they would have to eat 5 pounds of apple seed.

I never died from eating the seeds lol you need to eat a lot for there to be any harm...horses would be falling dead from the begining of time if that was the case (since if ahorse is offered an apple whole the WHOLE thing goes down the gullet lol)!

Goats love apples and it's funny watching them work on a whole one

Mine got lots of crab apples... of course they had to fight the chickens for them....

They like bananas too.. at least my pygmies do....

During fall my goats keep the ground clear of all fallen apples. The bigger goats bite the apples in half and the smaller goats follow behind and eat the dropped half pieces.
When I hand feed them apples I quarter them and remove the core and seeds.
Mine haven't had any digestive problems from them either way. Like anything else, use them in moderation.

we have goats next door to us and my kids love going to the apple trees loading up on apples and feeding the goats. The goat love them
