Well, Here is an update. Lots of History in such a short time. First, My original 4 chicks and 2 ducks are now 2 chicks and 1 duck. I wont tell why but if you watch my attached video you will figure it out pretty quick. And the biggest reason is I forgot to close the run that night so I take full responsibility. Second, I went to the Tractor Supply store and got 4 new chicks (2 Americauna and 2 Bantam) and 2 more Ducks. They are a week old now but this morning I took my second dead bantam to the trash. My fault again, I forgot that cedar shavings are bad for chicks and these 2 little bantam were no larger than a humming bird so their lungs couldn't take the fumes from the cedar shavings. When I took the shavings out I couldn't believe how strong the odor was at 1 foot over the top of the place I keep them.( a small kiddie pool). Everyone else is doing just fine. Lets hope I don't screw up again and kill these. I now use shredded paper from my security shredder. Plain paper with nothing on it. My 2 month old duck is, I am pretty sure a drake. Curley tail so he is either getting traded or going to the pot. All for now so watch my video and comment away...OOPS my bad the video is too large so here is a pic of it I took.
