Hey everybody! Just wanted to introduce myself :D
Im super interested in this website and cant wait to be a part of the BYC community! :wee

I live on a farm in southeast Iceland called Freysnes, we are located next to Skeiðarársandur and right below the highest mountain in Iceland and the biggest glacier!
We are a working sheep farm but have tons of other animals as well !
I got myself 10 eggs and an incubator about 15 weeks ago and again about 7 weeks ago and am now the proud owner of 20 chicks! :lol:
I have Sussex, Cream Legbar and some Icelandic chicks!
We also have 8 horses, 2 working horses and the rest in training :yesss:
Cant wait to learn more!

Hi! :frow Welcome to BYC! Love your sheep! I lived in Iceland for 3 years and I think the sheep were one of the most fascinating livestock there. The whole idea of free ranging and then getting all the farmers together for the round up is amazing! And the horses are wonderful too! But I never saw many chickens. Just Gunella's artwork of them. And her children's books.

Oh thats so cool! were you there for work ?
the chickens are usually kept inside OR in little coops in peoples backyards :p Mine have a large coop for themselves and a big space to roam around so im glad for them :rolleyes:😅

We were some of the last Navy folks on the NATO base. Absolutely loved your country and the people couldn't be nicer! Collected loads of art, and even tried to drum up some interest for it here in the states.

Thats great to hear! i love the states as well..i really wish i had more time to explore different states 😅 :rolleyes:
