Hi everyone! My name is Rachael and I run a holistic daycare out of my home. We finally moved from our 2/bed condo to a 5/bed house with a yard! So I finally get to do some of the things I couldn't in the condo. We are going to be starting our garden soon and would love to bring some chickens on board as well! So I need some advice since it gets so hot here in the summer, what is the best kind of coop to have? We can have up to 10 chickens in y area but I think 3-5 are quite enough for our yard. I would love to have multi-colored eggs as well, so what would the best breeds to get? I am so excited to get these kids involved and bring local food awareness to their families and the community! Any help we could get would be awesome or any donations too! here is the link to our website www.natureinspired.weebly.com I'm excited to learn about all of this and looking forward to meeting and talking with you all!

! Pleased you joined our community! Your best bet for colorful eggs would be Easter Eggers and/or Americaunas - you'll get green or blue tinted eggs. Plus there are several shades of brown egg layers out there - some that even look pink. Here's a chart where you can do so comparison shopping. Good luck and have fun!
