As someone who has an accidental house chicken and also adores ducks, I enjoyed reading your intro. Sounds like your boy has it pretty good.
My ducks are all Indian runners, so I can only answer from my perspective with them. I have introduced adult drakes to other adult drakes without incident, BUT there were plenty of girl ducks around to distract the boys from arguing with each other.
I would probably add a couple of female ducks, if that's a possibility. Also, I don't know where you live, but my runners live outdoors year round, even in frigid Iowa temperatures, so your boy could probably acclimate to life without a heated garage. On the other hand, I let my house chicken do field trips during warm weather, and because she has no one else to roost with (Dottie has some social issues), she lives indoors at night, year round.
In any case, welcome to BYC and congratulations on your handsome boy.
