Hi I am Karen and I live in Lanarkshire, Scotland .
I have only just started with my wee flock.
I purchased 3 chocolate Wyandotte bantam pullets from market and these guys were my first chickens. They are brilliant. They were bought at beginning of March and have settled in well.
Since then I have had 2 hatchings using a Brinsea incubator. I only managed to get 2 chicks each hatch but that's enough for me to be getting on with since I'm a newbie ! My first 2 who are now 7 weeks are lemon pyle brahmas and they are so sweet I'm hoping I have 2 girls but I suspect from reading forums 1 boy 1 girl. My other 2 week old chicks are a wee surprise and I'm not quite sure what they are. Pinkie(small and black) came from a blue egg and Hector (bigger and yellow/white) came from a darker brown egg.
When the 2 wee ones hatched I had read about sexing them with their wings so think they may be a boy and girl.
Glad to have joined the site and hopefully I can get lots of advice from all you guys.
xx
