Hey from Costa Rica

(1) Brand New to chickens; we just brought them home Saturday! We got our flock from a local small scale farmer and property caretaker.

(2) We have 8 hens! Started with 6 and went back 2 days later for 2 more.

(3) I have no idea what the breeds are but would love to know more!

(4) one of my favorite aspects is letting them run free and enjoy our beautiful piece of the mountain. We have been letting them out in the afternoon to graze among cacao, citrus, papaya, cacao coffee and guava trees.

(5) other hobbies are hiking, baking, cooking & fermenting (kombucha, sourdough and krauts currently)

(6) We are a small family of three living in rural mountainous costa rica. We work in the natural CPG space and love traveling.
