I have been on this great site for a couple of months now just trying to educate myself as much as possible. I have learned so much already but I am soooo nervous. I guess it's like being a mom of people, I haven't even gotten them yet and I am worried I won't do everything right!:/ I am getting 4 Plymouth Rocks and 2 Buff Orps on Thursday. Do you think their place looks ok? Any tips or feedback would be appreciated!

I would put cardboard around the sides, so the chicks don't fall out or get stuck in the wire openings. It will also help prevent drafts.

I did, you just can't see it very well in the pic. Look toward the back of the cage and you can see it better.

Glad you joined the flock! That looks great for a starter brooder, but they are going to outgrow it fairly quickly. Those little things grow like weeds! There are some bigger brooder ideas here:
