I've been coming to this site to have some questions answered but finally joined! Yay! You all are so helpful and so much fun!
I finally talked my hubs into letting me get chickens back in June, when my mom offered to give us a kitten and his response (after much nagging) was, "No! We're getting chickens!" Victory for momma!
So now, in addition to my human flock of a hubby, a 3 year old son, and a 4 month old baby girl, we have a Buff Orpington roo, two Barred Rock crosses (I think... I don't buy that they're pure BR), 4 sex-link pullets, 3 sex-link chicks, 3 mutt pullets, and 2 Russian Orloff pullets.
I adore my chickens! I never dreamed that you could get so wrapped up in them, but they are such beautiful and interesting creatures, not to mention the amazing fresh eggs we get daily!
