Hi there, I"m Jim

I"ve been following BYC's via its social media postings & finally I've decided to join up as it seems such a welcoming place to be, I"ve beeb keeping he's for about a year I started with 3 ex battery warrens and I've just successfully added a poland and a silver appenzella to my flock, there are all free range in a large fenced of part of the garden. Over the next few days I"m going to start a build thread of the new coop I'm putting together to replace the older pre assembled one thats been out grown. My girls are somewhat spoiled with grapes, fresh yoghurt, sunflower seeds and mealworms on tap... Its a hard life living with me I can tell you lol ...

Pics to follow

Anyhow I look forward to being a part of this ever growing/ crowing and clucking forurm.

Best regards Jim & the girls

Welcome to BYC, Jim. Glad you decided to join our flock. Warrens are one of many labels under which some hatcheries market their Red Sex Links, and they are egg laying machines. We have lots of members from the UK and if you want to get in touch with them, you can contact them at https://www.backyardchickens.com/newsearch?search=uk+members. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck in building that new coop.

Hello there and welcome to BYC!

Nothing wrong with spoiling your birds. After all, they do provide the goods! My birds are spoiled rotten too. They have me trained up well!

Enjoy this wonderful journey you are on and welcome to our flock!

Thanks all for the warm welcome, I live on the edge of the lake district in a small town called Morecambe less than a 10 minute walk from the sea. Hoping to started the build of my custom coop next week once I wander down the timber yard.

Cheers Jim
