And I'd take some of it in a heartbeat. Let's see - If we combine your minus 24 and my plus 80 we'd equal out to a pretty nice number I think we'd both be happy with.

over the chili mix packets. Ya gotta go with what fits your life. Some days I just can't whip up something fabulous from scratch. Anything to make it easier to put dinner on the table is a good thing.

happyhen-Soooo- you go outside naked in the summer?

I agree with BB, PLEASE send your winter here. We should be having cold snowy weather right now but it is almost 70! I WANT MY SNOW!!

Monica

I honestly feel for all of you in the freezing weather. when it gets in the single digits or below here, we only go outside if we have to. We do pay attention to the windchill; it REALLY makes a difference if it is 10* or feels like minus 18!

The check didn't come-again, so it was the last of the taquitos and pizza rolls, and baked beans for me.

Well they closed the schools and colleges again here was -34 degrees this morning and had a wind so who knows how low it really was.

tonight
Roast Chicken smashed tato's with gravy and Cheesy mixed veggies. Buns.

and lots of hot cocoa with marshmellow fluff, all day long.

zoo-according to my chart, minus 34-if the wind is 5mph- -30,10mph- -36, 15mph- 58, 20mph- -72!

Keep warm, stay inside if at all possible. And YOU take care of that knee!!

Monica

tonight we are having goulash, salad, homemade garlic bread, and fresh fruit and dessert cheese (brie, camembert) (this was one of Lucille Ball's favorite dinners...mine, too)

Last night we had corn chowder with bacon AND smoked sausage. We have never had it before but I got curious from reading about it on this thread. It was awesome and we ate it all!

After this very long week filled with school projects, I finally had a day to catch up on things that I am waaaay behind on. After dropping the kids off at school, I came home and planted about 50 flower bulbs (should have done it last month but I was waiting on the arrival of bare root roses at the nursery and kept missing the ones I was wanting - and needed to plant them before the bulbs), went to the bank, and made a batch of rose scented soap. I'm having a blast making soap and the great ladies here at BYC have been a tremendous help.

I still have some *real* work to do (the stuff I get paid to do) this afternoon after I get the kids, but other than that, I'm doing nothing! I'm on kitchen strike tonight.

I'm 'slaving' over a hot stove... (which would be great if true...cause it's warm in my kitchen...)
I'm waiting on the spaghetti to finish boiling....
with side salad...but
for dessert I have my cinnamon rolls...made them up last night.
