Hey Grandpa, What's for Supper? Part 2

Fasting starts again Friday.
Carrot juice and kale all around.
Honey, I love you

Last night we had some salmon a friend's dad gave us in trade for Honey helping move some hay. Oh man, it was so good! I told my Honey he needs to help this guy out more often, or get him to take Honey fishing so he can catch his own. I could handle a freezer full of wild caught salmon. Just salt and pepper, pan fried in some butter, a little bit of tarter sauce--yum! I saved just enough to make myself two salmon patties for lunch

. Had with rice and salad.

For tonight I've got a chuck roast in the crockpot with some carrots. I'll pull our the carrots, shred the meat and serve with bbq sauce on onion buns with Swiss cheese and fixings.

Yesterday we had a lemon/pepper chuck roast with mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. Tonight it will be open faced chuck roast sandwiches with green beans and beets.

Sounds like beef for dinner!

My roast wasn't ready by dinnertime, it didn't have that fall apart texture I needed. So, I pulled out the bag of chicken I was going to use for pot pie and we used that for sammies instead. So, tonight will be beef pot pie

. sounds just as good to me, as long as there's crust, right?

Yesterday we attended a chicken first aid class in Portland, so went out to dinner since it was 6:15 when the class concluded. I had a shrimp trilogy, buttermilk fried, stuffed, and scampi with really good green beans and a butternut squash orzo. Hubs had a parmesan crusted sole. We shared an upside down apple and walnut cake with cinnamon ice cream (and a bottle of wine).
