Hey Grandpa, What's for Supper? Part 2

Tonight is what I previously thought was lamb gravy (that’s what was written on the freezer bag) but turned out to be ragu - now fashioned into chilli with salad, feta and garlic bread.
It is good to be flexible!

Have you all been cooking ? On Wed. the Princess and I went to Delicious Orchards ( a bakery/vegetable market) in So. Jersey - got lots of stuff including a big bag of green peppers. Yesterday I picked up some meat loaf mix and ground beef at the Amish market so I am presently cooking a big batch of stuffed peppers - enough for 8 meals for the Princess and me. We'll have them for supper along with mashed potatoes and green beans.

Couldn't help noticing the heirloom tomatoes at $3.99/lb. Wonder how many thousands of dollars worth I have grown/eaten/given away this season? :lau

For me it’s been roast pork / lamb belly dinners interspersed with duck breast, steak pies and Indian food. I’m stocking up ready for sparser times back home :p

Going easy tonight. Princess made a pasta salad, and I will grill cheddar/bacon/sliders on the grill.

Smoked pork loin, sourdough bacon and cheddar muffins and green beans. Baked potato on the side

Steak on the grill, green beans, fresh sweet corn (off the cob), and the last of the pasta salad.

Started freezing my winter supply of sweet corn. Put up eight 2cup containers of corn.
