I would give it a try. Fungicides and any poison used goes to the root. Potatoes really should be ok but chemicals and what they break down to bother a lot of people.

My Oldest Daughter was allergic to nearly everything they tested for except Dog, cat and cockroach. She went on a two year shot program.

They do not do that for food allergies?

No. It's mostly avoidance. They do challenges where they can slowly introduce the allergen food and look for reaction. We did that with peanut and failed so bad they said, just avoid it.

Eggs are his worst followed by peanuts. Experts say if they haven't outgrown them by age 5 there is only a 20% chance they will. I don't know if he will ever be brave enough to try. He is paranoid about foods, medicines (has a sulfa allergy) and soaps (an off brand of tear free shampoo had tree nut derivatives, they caused a reaction)
