Tonight we are having salmon and tossed salad. I'm feeling yucky today and I think it might be from the way we've been eating. I miss being young enough to eat whatever I want and not pay for it the next day. lol

Annesa's Muse - Thanks for the explanation of the Kheer. I don't know what it was that I had, but it was also the texture I just couldn't get past, that and that it was sort of almondy tasting, yellow (from the saffron) and warm rather than cool. The combination just didn't sit with me. Normally, I love rice pudding!

Redfeathers - I'd love your bagel recipe if you're willing to share. I was spoiled by bagels in NYC and nothing has ever compared since. I hope your dinner helps you feel better. Hugs!

Zookeeper9000 - Dang, it has been a rough week for you. I hope your tooth is fixed nicely and that you'll find a way to stay on your feet. Is that how you chipped your tooth? I'm glad your sister is healing well.

The fridge is stuffed to the gills, so we're continuing our efforts to use up the leftovers. I really need to make some more yogurt but there isn't any room to put it anywhere.

Yesterday, I turned four leghorn roosters into green chile tamales. Plenty in the freezer for brown bag lunches!

Tonight, it's leek quiche.

Are there any lamb recipes that could switch meats? I've consulted with my food critic, Ive never had lamb, and Jim doesnt like it.
But with all the lamb recipes, they sound so good, I want to try them, but with a meat that will be eaten and not griped about. lol
Tonight, roast beef, with tators, carrots, onions.
OH!! I found out this morning as Alyssa was asking about a snack for school. She likes celery... plain! ewww She begged me for carrot and celery sticks. yaayy!!! I love that she eats a big variety of foods, just dont share her joy of them. Noone here likes avacado.. guess who will sit with grandpa and eat straight avacados... lol
