Hey Grandpa, What's for Supper? Part 2

Did someone call me? I mean, did someone say gravy?

Speaking of which, tonight is Salisbury steaks....with gravy, of course. Roasted yams and taters and onions, and either green bean casserole or salad. Maybe some corn also, the kiddos love corn with Salisbury steak.

Rachel, you know that I can make gravy out of lima beans.

Open faced turkey sandwiches - surprise

with stuffing and green beans. Sandwiches slathered in gravy - of course.

tonight will be chicken thighs baked with an apricot/bbq sauce. Not sure on a side dish, and salad. I have a pack of Hawaiian rolls, those may be good enough for a side. It's too nice outside to be in cooking

Tonight is a pot of chili, to be used for lunches or snacks over the weekend also.

main dinner will be thinly sliced venison sauteed in a mushroom gravy. Asparagus with onions and mushrooms, and probably corn muffins to round things out.

We went to a movie and stopped at IHOP afterwards - 'kids eat free' night.

One group consisted of 7 adults and 11 out of control children. Finally adult number 8 arrived and tried to exert some control. He managed to get his 2 to act like humans the others- parents evidently did not care. Lesson learned - "Do not go to IHOP on Friday night."

I am rosting a turkey breast to be served with stuffing, mashed potatoes, carrots and about a gallon of gravy.

That sounds so tasty!
