Hey Grandpa, What's for Supper? Part 2

I hope everyone is feeling fine today.

Last night we had Beef (free range) and Beans. We had a small nother blow in with rain (thank you god) so a hot bowl of beans and meat hit the spot.

Tonight we are having Curry Chicken (also free range) over rice.

Thanks to all for helping me out with supper plans. I have a question who says Supper for the last meal of the day and who says dinner?

happyhen.. congratulations to your family for such a great accomplishment! As for the hand ..well, it's painful today, but it's not hot or really red ..so I'm just keeping it clean. It is nice and swollen, discolored ..though. Yey me!

Dinner was frowned upon by the DH last night ..he had to pick out a couple of cardamom pods ..poor baby .....so I'll let him figure out dinner, tonight... or peel the shrimp that I had to boil with shells on (to prevent wasting them).

Actually, just looking at my hand again ..little closer ...I may need to let my doc look at it. It's pretty swollen and angry lookin' ..right around the teeth wounds

I'm so sorry to hear that. Definitely get it checked out. You don't want to mess with infection.

around here dinner is lunch and supper is the evening meal. Used to confuse the heck out of me as a kid.

Didnt have enough time to put that turkey on today, its finially thawed, I think Im going to put it in later so its cool for tomorrow. Tonight was fish sticks, noodles and sauce and baked pineapple. My little guy likes fish sticks, when he's had a period of not eating much they work like a charm. Plus I had about 6 bags of them from a couple weeks ago when they were 50% off.

Roast and Baked Potatoes, and some kind of veggie. Probably green beams or broccoli.

As another from the west coast, we also say dinner. I don't know why though as both my parents were from the east.

Aneesa- PLEASE go get that checked out! Infections and blood poisoning happen quick!

Well.. the hand is all better now! It's still got some funky colors, but the heat has completely gone out of it ...a wound always feels warmer just after the trauma to the tissue (when it doesn't go away, that's when you worry). It's only very slightly swollen still ..and that will probably pass by tomorrow .........and I have just about all the feeling (all that I ever had) back in it, as well.

So.. homemade pizzas tonight ..with some fresh Mozzarella and sausages, peppers, olives, etc. Yum!

homemade pizza sounds good. I will have to do that one of these nights, I keep putting it off. Tonight I have a homegrown (my uncle's) ham steak on the stove. My youngests request. I will make some gravy, biscuits, baked corn and maybe some mashed taters. My older son complains about quickie suppers so he will be happy. Hes a meat and potatoes man. Putting the turkey in the oven too, its a 19 pounder so it will take most of the evening I think.
