That's what we do, too for the same reasons! Whoever heard of Thanksgiving without lots of leftovers! We had our extended family tday on Sunday, Thanksgiving Day was the one for just our family.

I don't know how Purr does it, but I don't heat mine. I eat it cold.

Who knows! Maybe we're related! I once read a twin study where two sisters were separated at birth and each was adopted. Later when they went back to do a study, they found both of them had to sprinkle all their food with cinnamon. Interesting, huh?

I love that one as well! In fact, I had one for lunch yesterday!

That is my lunch for tomorrow (only whole wheat bread instead of white!)

Oh no! It's gone! The turkey took flight last night!

I guess when the kids came home last night they treated themselves, and their friends, to Kentucky Hot Browns with the leftovers (chefs in training.

).

At least they cleaned the kitchen afterwards!

We had Thanksgiving Redux tonight:

Roasted Freedom-Ranger chicken
The "extra" pan of dressing from T'Day
Cranberries & chopped apples simmered into a compote
Sauteed sweet potatoes with brown butter sauce*
Sweet potato dinner rolls

*SERIOUSLY, you have to make this. From this Mark Bittman NYT recipe.

Basically, you grate sweet potatoes. Heat a bit of olive oil in a heavy skillet, sautee or "stir-fry" grated sweet potatoes until done (this takes maybe 5 minutes). Sat & pepper to taste. Meanwhile, you melt butter in another skillet, and gently heat it with whole sage leaves and crushed garlic cloves until the butter is brown. Pour the flavored brown butter over the cooked sweet potatoes.
HOLY COW IS IT EVER GOOD!

Oh, that does sound good Ninja! I love using fresh herbs to flavor the cooking fats. Yum! I learned that one from Jamie Oliver, who I TiVo each week.

That would be my husband's way of eating them.

I'll eat my eggs pretty much any way, but I don't want the syrup (only real maple!) touching my eggs. Does that mean we're not related after all?

We're still working on leftovers over here as well, chicknmania. However, you're doing a far better job of hiding yours so that it looks like something different.

We had Turkey Pot Pie last night (leftover single crust pie shell - put on the top only - with leftover turkey, veggies, and gravy plus a few other goodies). Tonight we're having Turkey Cobb Salad with, you guessed it, leftover turkey!

I think Thursday may be the last of the turkey, thankfully. I just bought a ham on sale, so I'm sure I'll be on a new round of "what do I do with all this meat" again!
