Red beans, sausage and rice with cornbread for myself and DH, and fried fish and fried potatoes for DD. Thought about frying some okra since I'll already have the grease hot, but haven't decided yet.

Well, it was beef stew with potatoes and carrots
Rice
Mustard Greens
Corn Bread
Cold Sweet Milk

Long hard day on the chicken ranch today. Building all these
brooders, houses and pens is a killer.

Makes me wish I had some strawberry short cake and ice cream to reward myself.

Last night was Corned beef hash with yellow hominy and cornbread.
Since I finished off all the angle food cake I just had ice cream and the remaining few strawberries.
Guess it will be a quick stop at the store today for more strawberries and cake.

Tonight will be fresh flounder (friend at work caught it Sunday) bringing it to me today. Along with baked potato and not sure yet but probably asparagus or maybe a mixed veggie foil pack.

I had some leftovers from our lamb dinner the other night, so I'm making a casserole with other leftovers in the fridge: diced lamb, veggies and a gravy made from the pan sauce added with some herbs and such. I have some leftover rice and some leftover pasta (from last night's dinner) so I'm going to let people choose which base they'd like for the casserole. It smells pretty good and my fridge is going to be nice and cleaned out!

I love Clean-Out-The-Fridge-Night! (here on out called COTFN to save me some typing since I do it as often as I can get away with.)

It's a good use of the resources (nothing gets wasted), is quick and easy, and it's nice to not find green hairy things in the fridge at a later date!

What are some things you do with Lamb, Monica?

Uhmmm I am stuffed! I need to go root my husband out of the recliner! Still have a load of clothes to do...plus...oh well this is about supper not cleaning..

I fixed my family fried chicken
biscuits
corn
buttered rice
string green beans
mashed potatoes

for dessert we had vanilla ice cream (blue bell) I used to have an ice cream mixer...moved too many times....have no idea where it is...I said blue bell because this kind taste like homemade.

Oh, no gravy. We had gravy for breakfast, & the potatoes had plenty of butter.

Isn't that the ONLY way to make it????!!!

That's the way I make mine, anyway (along with onions, celery, salt, pepper, and pimento) and it always gets great reviews. It's an old recipe going back to a neighbor we lived near when I was just a couple of years old.

Tonight's dinner was a bowl of cereal. Easy, but I'm still hungry.

I put onions, hb eggs, sweet (don't care for dill) relish, and mostly mayo with a little mustard for color.

Oh, and being from the South, I add plenty of Tony's!!!

Just something else: the next time you make Deviled Eggs, don't put paprika on them....put Tony's instead....gives them that extra "BAM"!
