we kept a close watch this time around no temp spikes. but befor i use it again i am going to install a small fan in it. i have some eggs in my pink bator 45 quail and 27 chukar i guess i will see if the bator makes a differance

update-

last night while I was adding more water to up the humidity in preparation for hatch, I pulled 4-5 eggs out for a quick candling...and all of them were full and dark with a good air sac!

I struggled a bit with getting the humidity to climb and to only slightly lower the temps- when I added the water (I added room temp water and hindsight I should have warmed it first...room temp in my house this time of year is about 80 degrees) it pulled the temps down to as low as 95 for about 20 mins until it could warm up. took me about 45 mins to get it stable again which made me feel like an idiot. hopefully it didn't do any harm.

I'm getting nervous! I have the next 4 days off work so that I can attend to them while my parents are visiting me- I don't have cable or internet at home yet (stone ages...just moved in) but hopefully early next week I will have updates!

any last words of advice???
