I have 40+ feet of coated wire shelving from our not-greenhouse (the one we decided not to put together).

wonder if it would make a good place to set nesting boxes on top of, and the open sections to either side could be for roosting?

I think it's 'closet organizer' shelving... like Rubbermaid or something.

I think it would be great. I know of a woman who uses the organizer shelves for roosts. They are extremely easy to clean and sanitize.

also, I think I would make it removable so I could just pop it out and take it outside to clean.

I did that at first in my coop. It was 8 feet long. But then I had to lay a 2x4 on top of it because I felt the wire would hurt their feet.
