from another in Washington State glad you joined us!

Do males start showing their "roo" tendencies early?  As in fighting with other birds such as other Roo's?   We have a couple that are showing "roo" tendencies or do females sometimes fight as well.  I can tell (2) Roo's so far that we wound up with that were from a SR... but some of the "Guaranteed Pullets"  aren't really acting like Pullets.. they act more like future Roo's imo -- Fighting with certain ones  that we also think could be Roo's.  Just curious...

Sometimes the pullets fight too. If you have a flock of only hens, sometimes the dominant one will display rooster-like qualities. Happened to us, we thought we had a boy too. Chickens all have different personalities, some are naturally more agressive than others, I have one who will attack people's feet.

ok thank you... we got a lil worried for a bit... most the females are calm & just do their thing... but we have 3 in particular, that are starting Chickie Brawls... so far the one for sure Roo looks like he's trying to keep them in check... & they're only 2 weeks old..hahaha.. bratty little birds..lol
