(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am a new chicken owner, but not new to chickens! I have friends and family that have obsessed and owned chickens for years, but this is my first chance at having some for myself!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I have 8.
(3) What breeds do you have?
Cuckoo Maran, Silver Laced Red Wyndotte, Golden Laced Wyndotte, Silkie, 2 unknown bantams (that’s why I’m here
), Barnavelder, Lavender Orpington
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Chickens are so cute, I love their personalities and all the beautiful different breeds. Also eggs!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I am an equestrian, and have horses as well as a bunch of other fun animals on my property.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I am a huge animal lover, in my teen years my job was a full timer at a country store. Where I met other animal lovers and chicken and horse obsessed friends.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
Google! I came acrossed it while I was looking for a hatchery I was potentially interested in. Saw the great community and have been watching from behind the scenes for a minute now lol. I wanted to make an account to identify two of my bantams. I think I know one, the other is a mystery to me at the moment!
