(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
-I’m not new to chickens
. I’ve had my flock for a little more then a year now.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
-I have 6 hens right now
(3) What breeds do you have?
-I have a mixed backyard breed. I do know I have 2 Americaunas and 1 olive egger
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
My favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens has to be the eggs. Showing my kids it’s important to put work into something to get a good result.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Some other hobbies of mine are taking care of my ducks, my dogs, cats & reptiles. Singing, taking care of my kids, writing, reading and learning.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I always knew one day when my parents needed help and couldn’t take care of themselves 100% that I would. My parents live with my kids, my husband and I in Florida. I love that my parents can live out their lives watching their grandchildren grow up. My parents have taken good care of me as a child, now it’s my turn. I have 3 dogs, 4 cats, 3 bearded dragons, 1 leopard gecko and 2 ducks. A dream of mine would be to open a shelter for all animals who need to be rescued.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
-I found out about BYC because anytime I would have a question about my chickens, I’d google search the answer. Every time I googled, I’d stumble across this site. So any other question I had, I’d come straight here. Today I had another question about my ducks and decided to sign up! I’m so happy this site was created!!!
