(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I'm very new to chickens my chicks are about 3 weeks as of 6/1/25 but I've been wanting them for about 5 or so years.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I currently have 16 chicks
(3) What breeds do you have?
NO clue my mother went to tractor supply and seems like she got two of everyone and said you can take care of them right.... i do know a few from what little info my mamma gave and alot of googling.... buff brahma or as my mamma told me there buff bamas lol..... cinnamon queens these are my daughters favorites we have 4 of them....mystic onyx......... barred plymouth rock these are possibly roos but I'm really hoping they aren't, we have one that all my mamma can remember about it is its a silver....oh and i believe its a roo which im ok with... the rest and a wait and see since right now they are just yellow/tan chicks
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
As I'm very new to being a chicken tender...I'm sure my answer will change with time but as of right now i love getting to know my chicken..... i do have a favorite and can tell her peeps from the rest.... i look forward to when they are fully grown and i get to play what breed is that.... i love to spending time with the chicken its very relaxing
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
i love cooking and backing. im getting into gardening....I love crafting and jewelry making
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
i have a 8 year old daughter. i have 5 cats (i had to bottle feed them all) and two dogs. I'm a stay at home mom. i love animals i would have been a Vet but i am emotional person and didn't think people would like their vet to be crying if something bad happened to there pet. so i watch a lot of doctor and vet videos/shows and became my family's nurse/vet for little things or to tell them if they need to see a doctor
