Hi,
I was born and live in Wisconsin. I have helped with my father's Cornish Cross rosters in the past and have watched then go from cool little puff balls to ugly yet delicious full grown roosters. That is not the main reason for this post though.
I wanted to ask some questions about a pheasant that is WAY to friendly to people. I was googling a place to ask questions and came on this site. Where do I ask my questions about pheasants? I know this is made for chickens but can you ask about pheasants? If not someone please let me know and i'll keep looking for a place.....oh and if you know where please send me a link.

Thanks all to have contributed info to this site!!!! I have had questions about eggs and found the answers. Also have read up on common problems with the Cornish Cross breed and have learned a lot.
Just worried/wondering about this darn friendly/suicidal pheasant that hangs around and greets people.
UPDATE:I found the spot where to post and added a post over there. Glad I joined! He is where I posted

Thanks,
Noah

Welcome to Backyard chickens. I wonder if the pheasant was someone's previous pet.At least you don't have to worry that he is rabid. Birds are not mammals and don't get rabies.

One of our BYCers found a very friendly turkey on campus, and some students were afraid of him, so he was removed. Just a lonely bird looking for company. If they don't have a flock, I guess they try to find one.

Yeah I think so. I'm no bird shrink but I think he may chase vehicles because he fell off one and ended up by us. Not positive but it is weird how he chases vehicles. Almost sad if that is why he chases them to. Oh great to know I didn't know they couldn't get rabies!
