Morning everyone

I went to the flea market yesterday and first thing i always do when i get there is check out the animals for sale so i was looking around and i found this guy selling birds and i saw a cage full i button quails

and out of all the button quails there was only one white one and from the looks of it i think it's a hen and he was selling them for $3 so i couldn't pass on that

heres a pics of ( her ) ????

Don't worry her eyes are fine..she was just sleeping when i took the pics ..lol

........

and is she laying yet? i thought she might be since i saw this or what could be the reason for it?

I don't have her in the same cage as my other button quails or ( birds ) cuz if she has any mites or anything i don't want them to pass to my birds..so she's gonna stay in her own cage for prolly 2 weeks and i'll see from there

She got out her cage this morning and boy did i have a tough time finding her and when i did find her she was hiding behind one of the incubators ...note both incubators are on a table..lol

any advice you can give will be much needed

Suet= beef fat.

They use it in cakes for wild birds too, and some of those contain bugs and millet. Might be a good choice. It's VERY high enery stuff.

Watch the expiration dates on the cakes for birds carefully, old ones shouldn't be purchased.

Very pretty Mark! Too bad you don't live closer - I have 6 white ones and I think they are the most docile. My whites are always the ones to get picked on, poor things! Lucky for her she got a great new home!!
