Is this normal for one month old chicks to stick around by mom??

This is the first time I've had a broody hen raising peeps but seems normal to me. I have noticed Freda "weening" them a bit. She doesn't feed them all the treats anymore,(she wants her share lol), she is having them roost after a shorter cuddle up bedtime, they are growing more independant and wandering farther from her & running to me for treats, and Freda doesn't get so "broody" when I touch or get close to them. She will be going broody in a few more weeks and we will have a clutch of blue & green EE eggs for her this time around.

Freda is a small girl, not bantam but small nevertheless and her adopted peeps are BR's and Gold Comets. Though I do agree they are growing fast and putting on some nice weight. They don't seem to be going through as much of a ugly teen phase as my first girls did esp. the BR's they are getting down right pretty already.
