Hey! New here, looking for Silkie "experts"

It looks like a blue or splash with red leakage maybe.
The fact that there's so much red on his chest but blue on his back makes me think of a blue with red mixed in.
Even if he isn't barred at least I can still use him. Also save him from a poor diet. He, & his flockmates were getting into the adults layer feed.

She was feeding them Dumor 17% All Flock with scratch grains mixed in, the Ducks were being fed the same way, & the Adults(includes a Rooster) was being fed a layer feed mixed with scratch grains. With their feed out in the open the chicks were eating it too.

Here's two feathers with two bars, & they aren't just one line. I offered to get better pictures.

What I am referring to is each individual feather, I don't see evidence of barring on the individual feathers. There should be more the one white line on each feather. I'm not talking about whether to see more then one white line across the entire bird as a whole bc of course there are. When I evaluate for pattern that is something that is done on an individual feather basis. And when I look at each feather I don't think what you are seeing here is the barring gene. What breeds were the parents? Can we see pictures of them? I would like to help nail down exactly what gene your seeing express but I don't personally think it is barring. I'm not trying to upset you, just trying to be helpful 😊 If I know who the parents breeds were and what they looked like we can help nail down exactly what gene your seeing express here a lot more easily

He could be a mixed color, maybe blue with red leakage. I've read somewhere that red pyle is just splash with red leakage. Don't quote me, I'm not well versed in genetics.
Maybe one kind of Pyle. The Pyle I'm most familiar with is heterozygous for dominant white and had a red gene as well. So paint genetics but with red instead of black

It's not barring...
I see one line of positive white on each feather in the same stage.
Unevenly barred birds have "off white" markings and they always have more than one bar!
What are your thoughts on it?

Mine are: 1- if it is barring maybe the combination of only one copy of barring and the bird also being buff is messing with the distribution?

2- because all the feathers seem to have that one white strip in the same area of growth all over could it actually be some kind of weird nutritional deficiency causing the lack of pigment?

3- it's not barring at all and is another gene expressing 🤷

4- is it possible this actually some kind of silver leakage?

Again- I'm not an expert and learning too 😊

Ok-
No, but I posted examples witn home bred birds though.
I must of gotten mixed up. Sorry. I did look up calico princesses though, I'm not sure what breeds they used to begin with but example online look slightly similar. I'm seeing black/patterning in the hackles on those that I don't see on your though so I'm not entirely sure. I have plenty of birds here that don't fit into the traditional look of certain genes that have me stumped on what they are. Of course you could always test breed her if you really wanted to know and breed her to a non barred male to see if you actually get Sex-Link chicks from her. If you do then we can safely say she is barred but if not depending on what the chicks express or don't express would be my next clue to figuring out what's happening genetically with this particular bird 😊
