HEY!!! There is nothing wrong with spoiling your chickens. I overcame all my fear of bugs when I got mine just so I can catch them for my girls. My DH was shocked when I picked up one of those disgusting tomatoe plant worm thingys!!! You should see me going after crickets and grasshoppers!

There was a thread in FEEDING and I got mine from the WORMMAN - LOL
I wanted crickets as well, but its too dang cold - SEE even CRICKETS know better than to move here! Even if I paid for their transport!

I had a friend over to get some stuff from garage when I was cleaning it out. I noticed some albino crickets under this one crate. I knew there had to be more...so I did my "here chick! chick! chick!" call and my hens came over...I upturned the crate and they went MAD! I mean, it was a frenzy!

Needless to say my friend turned green behind the gills. She said it just might turn her off from eating eggs again...EVER!

Later, she did admit she was impressed that they came when I called them.

Thanks wildsky! I might be interested but I can't seem to find info on weather they can ship over the border (I'm Canadian eh=) I may have to search around for someone up here. Might freak out the border ppl!!!

OMG. We can't have worms crossing the border. Next thing you know they'll be tunneling into Quebec and back into Montana and completely out of control.
