what color do your darkest ones with the brown heads seem to color out? I hatched a few of those and was just wondering if anyone around here had a crystal ball handy and could tell me their future plumage???

Gosh, I wish Maine wasn't so far from California!!!

Me too. I am actually in NH right now at my daughters but that is just as bad as far as distance. Maybe sometime down the road I will be able to get some eggs from you.

Rosemary,

Msbear is right. Just leave the eggs to pile up & they are sure to go broody.

I already have 2 broodies & they have been laying less than 2 months. Fingers crossed for you.

I am enjoying springtime in the Rockies, that's for sure! The aspens are soo green/chartreuse that it almost hurts your eyes to look up into them. And the hummers arrived yesterday en mass, whirring in a frenzy, looking for the wildflowers that aren't even coming up yet, except the tiniest, brave ones.

During the long winters at our high altitude, I sometimes think I'd prefer to live in California! But then spring manages to find a way through the snow and I know I'm in heaven!

I THINK WE SHOULD HAVE A MILLI FLEUR COCHIN SHOW AND LET THE FORUM DECIDE WHO HAS DONE THE BEST JOB AT BREEDING THESE BIRDS WILL TRY TO GET SOME PICS UP OF THE STANDARD MILLI FLEUR COCHINS I HAVE BEEN WORKING ON
