Hey Southerners! Sweet Tea Recipe Please!

They are just larger sized tea bags. That way for folks like us from the SOUTH that like our tea as dark as our coffee, you don't have to spend ten minutes unwrapping those little sized tea bags.

OK...how many small bags is equal to a fam size? Inquiring minds want to know...

2 or 3. We generally make about 2 gallons of tea a day!!!!! We have surpassed the family sized bags and get the box of Lipton GALLON sized tea bags at sams. They are about the size of a cd case. HUGE.

Thanks Kristen! I am looking forward to having some sweet tea tomorrow!!! I would love some right now but I think all that sugar and caffeine would keep me up until tomorrow...

Also, I don't think anybody mentioned it, but the stronger you make your tea the more sugar it takes to sweeten it. Also, if you boil your bags for very long they will bust open on you.

well they have sweet tea makers here in kaintucky. do they in your neck of the woods?

Not that I'm aware of. You can buy Milo's at the convenience store though. It is the only bottled tea that tastes right.

Sorry KristenH, but Lipton, yuck! I love Tetley! My friend actually told me there is a punk song about how much yummier Tetley is than Lipton. I have been in California since 1999 but I order Tetley online 'cause I'm addicted, or my mom sends me some from my home state GA.

Hey this sweet tea sounds really good, we dont have it here in Oz.
I like the instructions that dont use pints and quarts and gallons, as we dont use those measurements here.
Im going to try it tommorrow.

KK, one gallon would roughly equal 4 liters to you. It works out to be like 3.785 liters. Hope this helps.
