Hey There !! I'm Obsessed With My Wyandotte (Send Help)

Welcome to Backyard Chickens~ Glad to have you. Your chickens are gorgeous! The easter egger really stands out, I love her colors. Wyandottes are such a pretty breed. I wish i had more varieties but for now I just have Silver laced wyandottes. Your Golden is very pretty :love:love I'm jealous. I've been meaning to get some goldens and blue laced red wyandottes lately. I've actually got a Wyandotte right now named Dolly. She's the sweetest thing ever and flies up to you onto your shoulder if you step into the coop. She wont leave you alone until you pet her.. Very nice birds

Wyandottes are a more aggressive breed of chickens. But it really depends on how you raise them and the bird it's self. I've got a couple of mean wyandottes but the majority of them are pretty friendly. But one of them loves to go around and peck feathers off from other chick's backs. But that's my only really aggressive Wyandotte. All chicken breeds can be nice and mean chickens.

Yeah, I think it helps that she's the youngest and at the bottom of the pecking order

The others tend to keep her in check.

Yeah, my lowest in the pecking order chicks tend to be the friendliest. But that's for all breeds. Everyone says the Silkies are absolutely the friendliest breed ever! But i had a black silkie that would literally throw it's self at me and attack me legs until I kicked her away.. And she wasn't even broody, Now that's a different story :th

Haha oh boy...
Can't say any of my chickens have ever done that, but they're still young

How new are you to chickens? I've them all my life, was raised up with them too. I don't think i've ever not had chickens? Anyways, I've definitely came across a fair amount of aggressive chickens in my time. I've got around 200 birds right now and only have 4 aggressive birds.. Once they start to mature give them their space as teenagers ;) i'm sure you wyandotte will stay friendly if she's the lowest in the pecking order though.

Haha, I'm pretty new to it...
My sister got them as a FFA project last year and we've had them ever since.

I really love them though.
Despite being poultry they make amazing pets, loyal, sweet, you name it.

Thanks for the advice, haha <3
