What did you do in the garden today?

Long weekend.. Had a great time riding with family and friends. Got the call yesterday that Grandpa passed away. We were out on a trail, luckily we told everyone to get back to camp before we got the call. So we stopped and took the call, we drove for a minute while I started to wind up, we stopped, I proceeded to get out of the RZR, scream and cry as hard as humanly possible for a few minutes then I was good to go.

Still feel very heavy. But I'm done crying for now.

Got home today, we've gotten over 2"of rain. Seedlings are sprouting.

Rocket launch
Sorry for your loss.
Prayers for comfort

We recently lost my StepDad, who'd been declining rapidly since contracting the flu over Christmas. My Mom's in the same boat as your MIL, grieving her loss while having to totally restructure her life after spending most of it caring for him. Make sure someone's with her for the one-month date. That was REALLY hard.

EDIT to fix typos that were bothering me!
Sorry for your loss. Prayers for comfort for your family

Think I will try the snail seed starting method.
I think I will too. I just have to find some plastic to use.

Hubby says we only need "a couple" of habaneros this year, not the 8 we had last year. When I cleaned out the freezer, I found 3 or 4 bags of frozen peppers. We aren't using all of them, dear. Not by a long shot.

Well! Now I want to try celtuce!
They start to turn milky when flower forms, so I have been picking them when buds start to appear. My plants were planted too close together, so they are not showing signs of flowering at the same time which is okay with me since I only snack on one or two plants a day.

If you don't, it will definitely not happen. If you do, there's a chance. In my book, that's a DO IT!

Can you get them in the soil in their bags and put them in a cool, but not frozen spot? Like the garage?
Ok so I said I would report back... we were talking about whether starting potatoes indoors would work with their water light and soil needs for those of us with short growing seasons and unheated greenhouses

Well turns out... it works! My red potatoes are coming up! I buried my eyed reds on February 6th so I'm getting just about the same sprout speed as I would outside!theyre in my laundry room so at regular in hosue ambient temp and I have 2 small gooseneck grow lights on the bag
