Hey, there!

Thank you for all of the lovely comments about my flock! I love all of them so much, pretty much all of them were hand raised from hatchlings or eggs. The one in the second image is named Pickle! She was a late bloomer that was abandoned by her foster turkey momma, so she ended up having a few rot flies on her. We used a bit of vinegar on her to get the maggots off, and the name just caught on from that. Absolutely beautiful little orpington mutt, probably the fluffiest one that we have.

Aha, I see you put your location in! I'm over west of Green Bay by about 45 minutes.

Here's our Cheesehead thread if you care to say hi. 🧀 Go Pack!

What a great "how'd she get her name" story!

Welcome to BYC! It looks like you have a lovely flock and also some very interesting hobbies! The pottery throwing has me intrigued - what do you like to make?
I mostly make small succulent pots, though I do want to learn how to throw plates and lidded jars eventually. Throwing is pretty hard, but very fun, and I would 100% recommend trying it out!

I've painted pottery before and also took a small course and made a Christmas themed tic tac to set that did not survive the kiln very well. XD Never used a wheel but if I ever had the chance I'd love to. Alas, too many hobbies too little time!
