Hello,
I am a Canadian from Ottawa, Ontario.
My wife and I have lived in the city our whole lives until recently: we moved to a rural property with acerage in the east end.
Upon moving my wife decided we should give chickens a try.
Since last May, we have converted an old 8'x12' garden shed to a comfy/insulated coop.
We have 10 hens and one rooster. A mix of plymouth barred roch and sex link. A good looking bunch we raised from chicks we ordered through a hatchery.
Right now we are raising an additional 6 silkie chicks, and, we are trying out coturnix quails.
