Welcome to BYC! There are many ways I keep my flock entertained. A big one is simply sprinkling a handful of scratch in the dirt. They love to scratch and peck for it! A mirror is another good option, just make sure they can't peck and break the mirror and get glass everywhere. In the summertime, I like to give them frozen fruit blocks for another great boredom buster.

Hello and welcome to BYC!

So glad you are enjoying your flock! You can add a big mirror to your run, chickens love to look at themselves. Levels of some kind, or thick branches to fly up on. Hanging cabbage or an apple gives them something to do. You can also throw in a flake of alfalfa hay for them to scratch around in looking for leaves and seeds.
